As of August 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This domain registration agreement governs, in addition to the General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of CURIAWEB GmbH, the registration, management, renewal, and transfer of domain names via CURIAWEB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By ordering or managing a domain via CURIAWEB, you also accept the applicable terms and conditions and policies of the competent registry, the registrar, and\u2014where applicable\u2014other entities involved in the registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Domain registration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1.1<\/strong> CURIAWEB enables the registration and management of domain names on behalf of the customer. The actual registration is carried out through the registrars and registries responsible for the respective domain extension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.2<\/strong> An order does not yet constitute a guarantee that the desired domain can actually be registered. A domain is only considered successfully registered once the relevant registry or registrar has confirmed the registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.3<\/strong> The allocation of a domain is governed by the regulations of the respective competent registration authority. Depending on the domain extension, special registration requirements may apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.4<\/strong> CURIAWEB cannot guarantee that a domain shown as available during ordering will still be available until the registration process is complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Domain Holder Information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

2.1<\/strong> The customer is obliged to provide all information required for registration completely, correctly, and truthfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.2<\/strong> This may include, in particular, the name or company name, address, email address, telephone number, and other information requested by the respective registration authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.3<\/strong> The customer is obliged to notify any changes to this information without delay or to keep the data up to date via the provided means.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.4<\/strong> Incomplete, incorrect, or outdated registration data can lead to restrictions, suspension, or, in the worst case, the loss of the right to use the domain, depending on the requirements of the competent registry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Domain Rights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

3.1<\/strong> Upon successful registration, the registered domain holder is granted the right to use the domain in accordance with the rules of the respective competent registry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.2<\/strong> The registration of a domain does not, in particular, establish any proprietary right to a domain name in the legal sense of property law and does not confer any further rights to names, trademarks, or other identifiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.3<\/strong> The customer is solely responsible for checking whether the registration and use of a domain infringe upon the rights of third parties. This includes, in particular, trademark, company, name, and other intellectual property rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.4<\/strong> CURIAWEB is not obligated to check prior to registration whether the customer is entitled to the requested designation or whether the rights of third parties could be affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Terms and conditions of the registration offices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

4.1<\/strong> In addition, the terms, policies, and technical specifications of the respective competent registry and the participating registrar apply to each domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.2<\/strong> For .ch and .li domains, the relevant provisions of the responsible registry SWITCH and the applicable legal and regulatory requirements apply in particular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.3<\/strong> For generic top-level domains such as .com, .net, or .org, the rules and policies of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) as well as the terms of the responsible registrar may also apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.4<\/strong> For other country-specific or generic domain extensions, the respective regulations of the competent registry apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.5<\/strong> The customer agrees that these external regulations may become part of the terms and conditions for the respective domain registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Domain Renewal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

5.1<\/strong> Domains are registered according to the agreed-upon term and \u2013 unless terminated and insofar as the respective registry permits \u2013 renewed for a further registration period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.2<\/strong> The customer is responsible for ensuring that the payments required for a renewal are made on time and that their contact information is up to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.3<\/strong> If a domain is not renewed in time, it can be deactivated, deleted, or made available for registration by third parties again after the periods specified by the respective registry have expired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.4<\/strong> Whether and during what period an already expired or deleted domain can be restored depends on the rules of the respective registry. Additional fees may apply for a restoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.5<\/strong> CURIAWEB cannot guarantee that a domain deleted or released after the expiration of the registration period can be recovered or registered again for the previous holder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Domain transfer and change of registrant<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

6.1<\/strong> The customer may request the transfer of a domain to another registrar, provided that the requirements of the respective registry are met and no permissible transfer lock exists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.2<\/strong> For a transfer, depending on the domain extension, a transfer or authorization code may be required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.3<\/strong> The customer is responsible for treating transfer codes and comparable authorization information confidentially. Anyone who has a valid transfer code can initiate a transfer, depending on the respective domain extension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.4<\/strong> For a transfer of the domain owner, additional procedures, confirmations, or proofs may be required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.5<\/strong> CURIAWEB cannot guarantee a transfer if it cannot be carried out due to registry specifications, a transfer lock, an ongoing dispute, missing information, or other circumstances beyond CURIAWEB's control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Registration Data and Privacy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

7.1<\/strong> For the registration and management of a domain, the necessary data must be transmitted to the competent registrar, the registry, or other entities involved in the registration process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.2<\/strong> The scope and publication of registration data depend on the respective domain extension, the specifications of the responsible registry, and the applicable data protection regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.3<\/strong> Whether and which registration data are accessible via public domain query services (RDDS\/WHOIS) depends on the rules of the respective registry and the type of domain holder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.4<\/strong> A claim to a WHOIS privacy or comparable data protection service exists only if such a service is offered for the respective domain extension and its use is permitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.5<\/strong> You can find further information about the processing of personal data by CURIAWEB in our Privacy Policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Abuse, Suspension, and Deletion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

8.1<\/strong> Domains must not be used for unlawful purposes or in a manner that violates the terms of the competent registry, registrar, or applicable law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8.2<\/strong> Registries and registrars may suspend, deactivate, or delete domains in accordance with their respective policies. This can occur in particular in the event of incorrect registration data, legal violations, abuse, security incidents, official orders, or other reasons provided for in the respective regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8.3<\/strong> CURIAWEB is authorized, within the framework of applicable rules, to take necessary measures or to implement instructions from a competent registry, registrar, court, or authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8.4<\/strong> Termination of other services from CURIAWEB does not automatically result in the loss of the right to use a domain. However, domains must be transferred or otherwise managed before the termination of the associated administration, if applicable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. Domain Name Disputes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

9.1<\/strong> For disputes concerning domain name rights, the respective applicable dispute resolution procedures of the competent registry or the regulations applicable to the respective domain extension shall apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.2<\/strong> For .ch domains, the dispute resolution service provided by SWITCH for disputes concerning rights to domain names is available in particular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.3<\/strong> For certain generic top-level domains, dispute resolution procedures provided by ICANN, including the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP), may apply in particular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.4<\/strong> Other domain extensions may be subject to their own dispute resolution procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.5<\/strong> CURIAWEB generally does not decide which party in a dispute has the better right to a domain name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. Prices and Fees<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

10.1<\/strong> For registration, renewal, transfer, restoration, or other domain services, the prices shown or individually agreed upon shall apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10.2<\/strong> Registration authorities and registrars may change their prices and fees. CURIAWEB is entitled to pass on any resulting price changes accordingly for future registration or renewal periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10.3<\/strong> Fees already paid to registration authorities or registrars are generally non-refundable in the event of early cancellation or transfer of a domain, unless otherwise agreed or precluded by mandatory statutory provisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11. Liability<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

11.1<\/strong> In particular, CURIAWEB cannot guarantee the permanent availability of a specific domain name, the successful registration of a domain that is still available, or the restoration of an expired or deleted domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11.2<\/strong> CURIAWEB shall not be liable for decisions and measures taken by the competent registration authorities, registrars, courts, or administrative bodies, provided these are beyond the control of CURIAWEB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11.3<\/strong> Otherwise, the liability provisions of CURIAWEB's General Terms and Conditions shall apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

12. Relationship to the General Terms and Conditions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

12.1<\/strong> This domain name registration agreement supplements the General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of CURIAWEB<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

12.2<\/strong> For domain-specific questions, the provisions of this domain registration agreement take precedence over the general terms and conditions, provided that no mandatory law or binding regulations of the competent registry conflict with this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

13. Changes to this Domain Registration Agreement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

13.1<\/strong> CURIAWEB may modify this agreement if statutory requirements, regulations of registries or registrars, technical procedures, or the domain services offered by CURIAWEB change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

13.2<\/strong> Material changes affecting existing contractual relationships will be communicated to the affected customers in a suitable manner and with reasonable advance notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14. Applicable Law<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

14.1<\/strong> For the contractual relationship between CURIAWEB and the customer, the law agreed upon in the General Terms and Conditions of CURIAWEB shall also apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14.2<\/strong> Mandatory provisions and dispute resolution procedures of the respective competent registration authority remain reserved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
