Maximum Protection for Your Hosting Account

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your cPanel login. In addition to your password, you will need a six-digit code generated by an app on your smartphone. Even if someone steals your password, your account remains protected without this code.

What you need: A smartphone with an authentication app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy.

Step 1: Start 2FA Setup

  1. Log in to your cPanel.
  2. In the Security section, look for Two-Factor Authentication.
  3. Click the Set Up Two-Factor Authentication button.

Step 2: Link the App

cPanel will now display a QR code:

  • Open your authentication app on your smartphone.
  • Select "Add new account" (usually a plus symbol) and scan the QR code from the screen.
  • Your app will immediately generate a six-digit security code for your CURIAWEB account.

Step 3: Confirm Activation

  1. Enter the six-digit code from the app into cPanel under "Security Code".
  2. Click "Configure Two-Factor Authentication".
Important Note: Save the recovery codes that cPanel displays after setup. If you lose your smartphone or no longer have access to the app, these codes are the only way to regain access to your account.

How does the login work from now on?

When you log in to cPanel in the future, enter your username and password as usual. In the next step, you will automatically be asked for the current code from your app. You will only gain access to the interface after entering this code.
