Secure Your Account with Double Protection

Passwords alone can be stolen through phishing or data leaks. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra, virtually impenetrable layer of security. Even if someone knows your password, they cannot log in without the dynamic code generated on your smartphone.

How it works: During login, you enter your password as usual. The system then asks for a six-digit code that an app on your smartphone regenerates every 30 seconds.

Prerequisites

You only need a smartphone and one of the following free apps:

  • Google Authenticator (Android & iOS)
  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • Authy or Duo Mobile

Step-by-Step: Setting Up 2FA

  1. Log in to your cPanel and navigate to Security » Two-Factor Authentication.
  2. Click the Set Up Two-Factor Authentication button.
  3. Open your authenticator app on your smartphone and select "Add new account" (usually a plus symbol).
  4. Scan the QR code displayed on your screen with your smartphone camera.
  5. Enter the six-digit code currently shown in the app into the Security Code field in cPanel.
  6. Click Configure Two-Factor Authentication to complete the process.
Important Note:
Ensure that the time and date on your smartphone are set correctly. If the time is not in sync with the server, the code will be rejected as invalid.

2FA for Webmail

Once you enable 2FA in cPanel, this protection automatically applies to your Webmail login as well. This is crucial for protecting your business communication from unauthorized access.

Management and Deactivation

➤ Reconfigure
If you get a new smartphone, use the "Reconfigure" option to update the link.
➤ Remove
You can deactivate the protection at any time. However, we strongly advise against operating your account without this security measure.
