Efficient Data Transfer on macOS
For Mac users, Commander One is a powerful alternative to FileZilla. The tool offers a classic dual-pane view and allows you to integrate your CURIAWEB web server like a local drive into the system. This makes moving files as intuitive as on your local hard drive.
1. Download & Installation
Download the latest version directly from the manufacturer or the Mac App Store:
2. Establishing a Connection to the Server
- Launch Commander One.
- Open the connection menu via the toolbar or go to Go > Connect to Server (Shortcut:
⌘K). - Click the "+" symbol to add a new connection.
- Select your preferred protocol (we recommend SFTP for maximum security).
3. Entering Login Credentials
Fill in the fields with your CURIAWEB data:
- Name: A name of your choice (e.g., "My Website").
- Server: Your domain (e.g., yourdomain.ch) or the IP address of your server.
- User & Password: Your FTP credentials from cPanel.
4. Working with the Server
After clicking "Connect", your web server will appear as a drive. You can now:
- Move files via Drag & Drop between your Mac (left pane) and the server (right pane).
- Change file permissions (CHMOD) directly via right-click.
- Edit files directly on the server.
