Interaction Made Easy: Creating Custom Forms
A professional contact form is the bridge between you and your customers. It enables structured communication while protecting your email address from automated spam bots. With the Kopage Website Builder, you can create custom forms in just a few minutes.
1. Adding a Form and Defining Fields
Use the drag-and-drop system to place your form:
- Click on + Add in the sidebar and select the Forms module.
- Drag the form to the desired location on your page.
- Click on the element to add or rename fields like Name, Email, Subject, or Message.
- Mark important fields as "Required".
2. The Most Important Setting: The Recipient
To ensure requests reach you, you must enter your target email address:
- Click on the form and select Form Settings.
- Under Recipient Email, enter your business email (e.g., info@yourcompany.ch).
- Set a descriptive subject line (e.g., "Inquiry via Website") so you can immediately recognize the emails in your inbox.
3. Confirmation & Security
Enter a short message that appears after submission, or redirect the visitor to a special "Thank You" page.
Activate the Captcha in the settings to ensure that only real humans can fill out the form.
4. The Final Test
Before publishing your website, you should test the form like a visitor would:
- Fill out all fields and click send.
- Check your inbox (including the spam folder).
- Check the appearance on your smartphone.
