Manual Installation for Custom Setups

For developers who require full control over the file structure and Composer dependencies, manual installation is the recommended path.

The Process

  1. Download the official Magento archive or use Composer via SSH.
  2. Create a MySQL database in cPanel.
  3. Ensure the PHP version is set to at least 8.1 (for Magento 2.4).
  4. Upload the files and access the domain to launch the web installer.
Expert Tip: Magento 2 requires high memory_limit values in the php.ini (at least 768M or higher). At CURIAWEB, you can adjust these directly in cPanel under "Select PHP Version".
