Getting Your Goods to the Customer

Magento 2 offers various standard shipping methods, which can be found under Sales > Delivery Methods.

Common Shipping Methods

  • Flat Rate: A fixed fee per order or per item (ideal for simple shipping structures).
  • Free Shipping: Enable free shipping for orders above a certain value (e.g., from CHF 150.-).
  • Table Rates: The most professional method. Here you upload a CSV file that calculates shipping costs based on weight, destination, and number of items.

Shipping Settings

Don't forget to enter your "Origin" (shipping address) under Shipping Settings so that shipping modules can calculate distances correctly.

Tip: For connections to Swiss Post or Planzer, there are special extensions that can print labels directly from the admin area.
