Selling Services and Memberships

A "Virtual Product" represents goods that do not need to be physically shipped. Typical examples include insurance, service contracts, memberships, or consulting hours.

Setup Specifics

  • Select the product type Virtual Product.
  • Since there is no physical shipping, the "Weight" field is omitted or set to "No".
  • During checkout, the customer is automatically not shown any shipping method options if the cart contains only virtual products.
Distinction: If you want to offer a file for download (e-book, software), use the "Downloadable Product" type instead.
