Setting up Email in Microsoft Outlook

Step-by-Step: The Setup

  1. Open Outlook and select File > Add Account.
  2. Select Manual setup (or "Advanced options").
  3. Choose IMAP.
  4. Server Settings:
    • Incoming Server (IMAP): mail.yourdomain.ch (Port 993, SSL/TLS)
    • Outgoing Server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.ch (Port 465, SSL/TLS)
    • Username: Your full email address

Deleting: If emails are not being deleted, check under Account Settings > Advanced to see if the "Root folder path" is empty or set to "INBOX".
