Setting up Email in Mozilla Thunderbird

Configuration

  1. Menu > New > Existing Mail Account.
  2. Enter your name and email. Select Configure manually.
  3. Details:
    • Incoming/Outgoing: mail.yourdomain.ch
    • Username: Full email address
    • Ports: 993 (Incoming), 465 (Outgoing), both with SSL/TLS.

Signature & Deletion

Signature: Right-click on your email address on the left > Settings. You will find the signature text field right there.

Delete/Clean up: Use the "Compact folders" function to permanently remove deleted emails from the storage.

Option: For maximum security, we recommend our external SpamExperts Filter.
