Email on Android (Samsung, Sony, Huawei etc.)

Most Android devices use a pre-installed app called "Email" or "Mail". Here is how you can set up your account manually.

Step-by-Step: Manual Setup

  1. Open the Email app and select "Add new account".
  2. Choose Other or Manual setup.
  3. Select IMAP account.
  4. Server details:
    • Incoming server: mail.yourdomain.ch
    • Security type: SSL/TLS (Port 993)
    • Username: Your full email address
  5. Outgoing server:
    • SMTP server: mail.yourdomain.ch
    • Security type: SSL/TLS (Port 465)
    • Authentication required: Yes (Username & Password)

Signature & Deleting Emails

Signature: In the Mail app, go to Settings > Account Settings > [Your Account] > Signature. Here you can customize your mobile signature.

Deleting: If emails cannot be permanently deleted, check under Manage Folders in the settings to see if the Trash bin is assigned to the server-side folder named "Trash" or "Deleted".

Spam protection for on the go: Spam emails consume data and battery life. Our optional SpamExperts filter stops junk mail right on the server. More information.
