Using Your Hostpoint Domain with CuriaWeb
There are two ways to connect your domain registered with Hostpoint to your CuriaWeb hosting. You can either redirect only the technical part (nameservers) or move the entire administration to us (domain transfer).
Option A: Change Nameservers
The domain remains with Hostpoint but points to our server.
- Log in to Hostpoint.
- Go to Domains > Domain Manager.
- Select "Edit" for the nameservers.
- Enter: ns1.curiaweb.ch and ns2.curiaweb.ch.
Note: Takes up to 24h (DNS propagation).
Option B: Domain Transfer (Recommended)
Move the domain entirely to CuriaWeb. Everything from a single source.
- Request the Transfer Code (Auth Code) from Hostpoint.
- Enter the code in your CuriaWeb customer area under "Domain Transfer".
- Your domain will be automatically moved to us and correctly configured.

What Happens After the Change?
Regardless of which option you choose: the internet must first propagate the new information. This process is called DNS propagation. During the first few hours, visitors might still be directed to your old server. After 24 hours at the latest, your shop will be reachable worldwide via CuriaWeb.
