Troubleshooting: If the domain isn't working after the switch

It’s frustrating when your website doesn't appear immediately after the move. Most of the time, the problem is caused by one of these three factors:

1. DNS Propagation (Waiting Time)

As explained in the article on DNS Propagation, it can take up to 24 hours for all internet service providers to recognize the new nameservers. Please be patient.

2. Local Browser Cache

Your computer stores old data from your website. Try opening the page in your browser's Incognito Mode or press Ctrl + F5 (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + R (Mac) to force a complete reload.

3. Missing SSL Certificate

If your site is accessed via https://, but no security certificate is active on the new server yet, the browser will display a warning. At CuriaWeb, AutoSSL usually becomes active automatically within the first hour after correct connection.

Support Check: If the site is still not reachable after 24 hours, check the "Zone Editor" in cPanel to ensure the A-record is correctly pointing to your CuriaWeb IP address.
