Security Check: Removing the Registrar Lock

When attempting to transfer a domain to CuriaWeb, you may sometimes receive a message stating that the domain is "locked". This is a security feature known as Registrar Lock or Transfer Lock.

How to unlock your domain:

Log in to your current provider's portal. In the domain settings, you will usually find a toggle for "Transfer Lock" or "Registrar Lock". Set this to "OFF". Only then can our system successfully initiate the transfer.

Note: Following a new registration or a change of ownership, international domains (.com, .net, etc.) are often locked for 60 days. This is a global ICANN security regulation that we, as a hoster, cannot bypass.

Once the lock is removed, you can safely bring your domain to us here: CuriaWeb Domain Check.
