Restoring a Cancelled Service: Withdraw a Cancellation in Time
You submitted a cancellation request for a CURIAWEB service but then changed your mind? In many cases, a cancelled service can be set back to “Active” as long as the expiry date has not yet been reached. It is important that you contact us as early as possible so that the cancellation status can be reviewed and removed in time.
This article explains what to do if you want to withdraw a cancellation that has already been submitted. It also explains why there is no direct undo button in the client area and why quick contact is especially important before a service passes its expiry date.
In brief: Can a cancelled service be reactivated?
As long as the expiry date has not yet been reached, a cancelled service can usually be reactivated without difficulty. To do this, open a support ticket and tell us the name of the affected product or domain.
Why is there no direct “undo” button?
In the CURIAWEB client area, there is no direct button that allows customers to undo an already confirmed cancellation themselves. This ensures that reactivation is checked in a controlled and traceable way. It helps make sure that the correct service is processed and that no accidental changes are made to the wrong product.
This clear assignment is especially important when several products, hosting services, or domains are present in one customer account. For this reason, withdrawing a cancellation should be handled through a support ticket. In that ticket, you can briefly state which service or domain you would like to keep.
How to request restoration
If you want to withdraw a cancellation, please contact us through the support system in the client area. A short message is sufficient, provided it is clear which service is affected.
Procedure overview:
- Log in to the CURIAWEB client area.
- Open a short support ticket to our technical or billing department.
- Provide the name of the affected product or domain.
- Tell us that you would like to withdraw the submitted cancellation.
- We will review the service and remove the cancellation status for you.
- The product will then be set back to “Active”, provided reactivation is still possible.
What information should the support ticket contain?
To allow the request to be assigned quickly and correctly, the support ticket should be as clear as possible. The most important detail is the name of the affected product or domain. This allows us to identify which service your request refers to.
You do not need to write a long explanation. What matters is that it is clear that you want to withdraw the cancellation and continue using the service. If several similar products exist in your customer account, please provide the name as precisely as possible.
Recommendation: Open the support ticket as early as possible once you know that you would like to continue using the service after all.
Why is the expiry date so important?
Reactivation is usually straightforward as long as the expiry date has not yet been reached. Until that point, the cancellation status can normally be removed and the product can be set back to active.
However, once a service passes its expiry date, the automatic deletion process on the servers begins. From that point onward, it can no longer be assumed that a simple reactivation will still be possible. Early contact is therefore essential.
Important: Please contact us before the expiry date whenever possible. Once a service passes the expiry date, the automatic deletion process on the servers begins.
What happens after your request?
After you open the support ticket, we will review the affected service. If the expiry date has not yet been reached and reactivation is possible, we will remove the cancellation status and set the product back to “Active”.
This prevents the service from expiring as originally planned. You should still check the confirmation or reply to your ticket so that you know whether the reactivation has been completed.
Does this also apply to domains?
If your request concerns a domain, please provide the full domain name in the support ticket. Domains should be stated very clearly to avoid confusion. Here too, the earlier you contact us, the better the request can be reviewed.
If you manage several domains, make sure to name the exact domain concerned. This helps ensure that the correct entry is checked and that the requested change is assigned to the correct product.
Check carefully before withdrawing a cancellation
Before withdrawing a cancellation, you should be sure that you still need the service. Reactivation means that the product will continue to be active. If you are unsure whether you still need it, first check which website, domain, email usage, or other function is connected to the product.
Once you have decided to continue the service, a short support ticket requesting removal of the cancellation status is sufficient. The important point is that the request reaches us in time before the expiry date.
Summary
A cancellation that has already been submitted can usually be withdrawn as long as the expiry date has not yet been reached. Since there is no direct undo button in the CURIAWEB client area, please open a support ticket to the technical or billing department and provide the affected product or domain. We will remove the cancellation status for you and set the product back to “Active”, provided this is still possible. Contact us as early as possible, because after the expiry date the automatic deletion process on the servers begins.
