The Foundation of Your Drupal Site
After installation, you should define the basic identity features of your site.
Changing Site Information:
Navigate to Configuration -> System -> Basic site settings. Here you can set the site name, slogan, and the email address used for sending system notifications.
Activating Maintenance Mode:
When performing major updates, you should use maintenance mode:
- Go to Configuration -> Development -> Maintenance mode.
- Check the "Put site into maintenance mode" box.
- Enter a message that visitors should see during this time.
