Automatically guide visitors to their destination
A redirect (URL redirect) automatically sends visitors and search engines from one address to another. This is particularly helpful if you have moved content or use multiple domains for the same project.

Step 1: Choose the right type
Before you create a redirect, you must decide how permanent it should be:
Signals to search engines: "This page has moved permanently". The search engine ranking power (link juice) is transferred to the new address. Recommended for almost all cases.
Signals: "This page is only temporarily available elsewhere". Search engines keep the old URL in the index. Useful for maintenance work or short-term promotions.
Step 2: Configure the redirect
- Select the domain you want to redirect from the dropdown menu.
- Optionally, enter the path in the field behind it (e.g.,
/old-directory) if the entire domain should not be redirected. - Enter the full target URL under "Redirects to".
Important: You must includehttp://orhttps://!
Step 3: WWW Settings & Wildcards
WWW Options: It is best to choose "Redirect with or without www." so that all visitors reach the destination.
Wild Card Redirect: A very useful feature.
If enabled, the structure behind the domain is maintained.
Example: domain.com/contact redirects to newdomain.com/contact.
If disabled, all subpages land generally on the homepage of newdomain.com.
