Content with Added Value: How Much Text Does an SEO Page Need?

Google wants to provide its users with the best possible answers. A page with only two sentences and an image will rarely rank at the top. But remember: quality always comes before quantity.

Rule of Thumb for Your Content:

  • The 300-Word Mark: Aim to write at least 300 words for important subpages. MarketGoo will warn you if a page has "thin content."
  • Provide Added Value: Answer the questions that your customers might have.
  • Readability: Use short paragraphs, bullet points, and images to break up the text.
MarketGoo Analysis: The tool checks not only the word count but also the keyword density. It shows you if you have used your keyword too rarely or perhaps even too often ("Keyword Stuffing").
