Efficient Bulk Import of Email Addresses and Forwarders
Do you need to create a large number of email accounts or forwarders? Instead of creating each account individually, the cPanel Address Importer at CURIAWEB offers the possibility to import lists directly via Microsoft Excel (.xls) or CSV files.

1. Preparing the import file correctly
To ensure the system understands your data, it must be structured properly. Each account requires its own row.
Required information per row:
- Username: e.g., info (the domain part @yourdomain.ch can be omitted).
- Password: The desired password for the respective account.
- Quota (Storage): Value in megabytes (e.g., 250 for 250 MB).
Example of a simple CSV structure (using a comma as a separator):
name1, Password123, 100
name2, Password456, 250
name3, Password789, 500
2. Starting the import process
Follow these steps in cPanel under Email -> Address Importer:
- Select whether you want to import Email Accounts or Forwarders.
- Click on "Choose File" and upload your template.
- Select the appropriate delimiter (usually a comma).
- Check the box "Treat first row as column headers" if your table includes titles like "Email" or "Password".
- Click "Next".
3. Column Mapping
In the next step, you tell the system which column contains which data. You will find a dropdown menu above each data block:

4. Completion
Select the desired target domain at the bottom and click "Next" and then "Finish". cPanel will now create all accounts fully automatically in the background.
Tip: Use the sample files provided by cPanel directly on the import page to avoid formatting errors from the start.
