I'm CURIAWEB Customer Center you can manage important master data of your customer account yourself. This includes, for example, your name or company name, your address, telephone number and other contact details.
This information will be used, among other things, for future invoices and the management of your customer account. If your address, company name, or other details change, you should therefore update your master data as soon as possible.
Briefly explained: Changes to your account details generally apply to future transactions and invoices. Invoices that have already been issued are not automatically adjusted by a subsequent change to your master data.
When should you update your master data? #
An update is always advisable whenever information stored in your CURIAWEB customer account has changed.
Typical cases include, for example:
- Move to a new address
- Change of company name
- Change of legal form
- new phone number
- Change of a responsible contact person
- Change of billing address
Particularly in the case of companies, the company name, legal form, and address should be entered exactly as they are to appear on future invoices.
How to change your master data in the customer center #
Editing is done directly via your account details.
Procedure:
- Log in to CURIAWEB Customer Center a.
- Click on your name or your profile menu in the top right corner.
- Open „Account details“.
- Change the desired details, such as company name, address, or phone number.
- Check the information carefully.
- Click on „Save changes“.
After saving, the new account details will be applied to your customer account.
What information should you check particularly carefully? #
Check in particular all information that is to appear later on business documents or invoices.
Depending on the account type, this includes in particular:
- Name or company name
- Legal form
- Street and house number
- Postal code
- Place
- Land
- Phone number
- responsible contact person
Pay attention to correct spelling and complete information. A typo in the company name or an old address can cause unnecessary follow-up questions in accounting later.
Recommendation: Update company and address data as soon as possible after a relocation, change of company name, or change in legal form.
How does the change affect invoices? #
Updated master data is generally used for invoices issued in the future used.
For example, if you change your company address today and a new invoice is created later, the bank details stored at that time will be used for this new invoice.
Important: An already issued invoice is not automatically changed retroactively by a subsequent change to your account details.
Can an already issued invoice be changed? #
If an invoice has already been created and you notice an incorrect or outdated address there, you should still correct the account details first so that future invoices are issued correctly.
For an already existing invoice, on the other hand, it must be checked separately whether and in what form a correction is possible.
Create a Support ticket in the CURIAWEB customer center and state the relevant invoice number as well as the desired correction.
CURIAWEB can then check which adjustment is accounting-wise possible in the specific case.
The customer service email address is managed separately. #
The email address of your CURIAWEB customer account is security-relevant and therefore, unlike a normal address or telephone number, cannot be changed directly via the account details.
It is used, among other things, for the following functions:
- Customer Center Login
- Password Recovery
- Invoice notifications
- Support communication
- other important account notifications
If you want to change your saved customer center email address, the change must be made through CURIAWEB Support.
You can find the exact procedure at Change email address in the CURIAWEB customer center.
Difference: The e-mail address of your customer account is not the same as a hosted mailbox like info@deine-domain.ch. Such email accounts are managed separately via your hosting or cPanel.
What needs to be considered when changing a company name or details? #
If not only the address changes, but for example the company name or the legal form as well, you should enter the new information completely and correctly.
For major changes, it may be useful to also check whether other data are affected, for example:
- stored domain owner data
- Billing information
- Contact persons
- Customer account email address
The owner and contact details of a domain are managed separately. You can find the corresponding instructions at Change owner and contact data of a domain.
Check all details again after the change #
After saving your account details, you should review them again. Check the company name, address, postal code, and city particularly closely.
If several people have access to the CURIAWEB customer center, it should be clearly regulated internally who is allowed to change master data. Unnecessary access rights should be avoided.
We explain how to set up separate user accounts for employees or external service providers under Set up user access for web designers or employees.
When should you contact support? #
Contact CURIAWEB Support if:
- a specific detail in the customer center cannot be changed,
- an already issued invoice is to be checked,
- the email address of your customer account needs to be changed,
- you are not sure which data should be stored for your company.
In a request, specify as concretely as possible which information is to be changed and which invoice or customer account is affected.
