CURIAWEB emails are not arriving: Check notifications and invoices

Reading time approx. 6 minutes

You are expecting an email from CURIAWEB, but nothing appears in your inbox? For example, this can be a invoice, support reply, password reset email, confirmation, domain notification, or information regarding your hosting concern.

In most cases, the message is not fundamentally lost. Frequently, it has been classified as spam by the email provider, moved by a filter, sent to another registered email address, or rejected by the receiving mail server. With a few targeted checks, the cause can usually be quickly narrowed down.

Briefly explained: First check your spam or junk folder and then verify that the correct email address is registered in CURIAWEB. If possible, add CURIAWEB to your safe senders list. If you still do not receive any messages, our support team can check the delivery status for you.

What emails does CURIAWEB send? #

Various automatic and manual messages can be sent via your CURIAWEB customer account. Which emails you receive depends on your products and the respective processes.

This includes, for example:

  • Invoices and payment reminders
  • Notifications about upcoming renewals
  • Order and activation confirmations
  • Information on hosting products and services
  • Domain notifications
  • Support ticket responses
  • Password reset emails
  • Emails to confirm your email address
  • Security and account notifications

Some of these messages may be time-sensitive. This applies in particular to invoices, domain notifications, security information, and confirmation emails. Therefore, you should not permanently ignore a delivery issue.

1. Check spam and junk folders #

The first look should always be in the spam, junk or clutter folder your email inbox. Spam filters evaluate messages automatically and can also mistakenly sort out legitimate emails.

This can happen in particular with automatically generated messages such as invoices, confirmations, or system notifications. Even technically correctly sent messages can be evaluated differently by individual email providers.

If you find a CURIAWEB message in the spam folder, mark it as „No spam“ or rather „No junk“. This teaches your email provider's filter that you want to receive messages from this sender.

Important: Check not only the regular spam folder. Some email services use additional categories such as promotions, others, quarantine, or separate security areas.

2. Check the email address stored in CURIAWEB #

CURIAWEB sends important customer information to the email address associated with your customer account or the corresponding user or contact. If an old, misspelled, or unused address is stored there, our messages cannot reliably reach you.

Therefore, check which email address you are using for your CURIAWEB customer account.

Pay special attention to:

  • Typo in the email address
  • old company email addresses
  • private addresses no longer in use
  • Mailboxes of former employees
  • Domains or email addresses that are no longer active

If the stored customer center email address needs to be changed, this is done via CURIAWEB support for security reasons.

You can find more information at Change email address in the CURIAWEB customer center.

3. Mark sender as trusted #

If your email program or provider offers a list of trusted senders or an allowlist, you can add the CURIAWEB sender address or domain there.

This signals to your own spam filter that messages from CURIAWEB are welcome. What this feature is called depends on the email system you are using. You will often find terms like:

  • Safe senders
  • Trusted senders
  • Allowlist
  • Whitelist
  • No spam

For your own cPanel mailboxes, spam filters and custom email filters can also play a role. cPanel allows for both spam filters and individual filter rules that can mark, move, or discard messages under certain conditions.

4. Check email filters and forwarding rules #

If you have set up rules in your email inbox, a message may have been automatically moved to another folder or forwarded.

Check existing ones for this reason:

  • Email filter
  • Inbox rules
  • Redirects
  • Spam rules
  • automatic sorting

Especially with business mailboxes, rules often accumulate over time that no one remembers later. A misconfigured rule can cause certain messages to never appear in the normal inbox.

5. Is your email inbox full? #

Also check whether your mailbox still has enough free storage space. If the storage limit is reached, new messages may no longer be accepted, depending on the email system.

If you use your own domain with CURIAWEB for your emails, you can check the storage usage of your email accounts in cPanel.

Delete unnecessary messages if needed or increase the storage limit of the affected mailbox, provided that your hosting package provides enough storage space.

Attention: If a mailbox is full or no longer reachable, not only CURIAWEB messages may be affected. In this case, emails from other senders can also no longer be delivered reliably.

6. Check invoices directly in the customer center #

If you have not received an invoice email, it does not mean that the invoice does not exist. You can view your invoices directly in the CURIAWEB customer center, regardless of email delivery.

How to check your invoices:

  1. Log in to CURIAWEB Customer Center a.
  2. Open „Billing“.
  3. Choose „My Invoices“.
  4. Check if there are any open invoices.
  5. Open the desired invoice.
  6. Download them as a PDF if needed.

This means you don't have to wait for a redelivery if an invoice email is missing.

You can find a detailed guide at Find invoices in the CURIAWEB customer center and download them as a PDF.

7. Check support tickets directly in the customer center #

Even if an email notification about a new support reply hasn't reached you, the actual support ticket remains in the customer center.

Log in to the Customer Center and check your open or recently updated support tickets. There, you can read the reply regardless of whether the corresponding email notification was successfully delivered.

This is particularly important if you are waiting for an urgent technical request. In such cases, do not rely solely on email notifications.

8. Password reset email does not arrive #

If you want to reset your customer center password and do not receive the corresponding email, first check your spam folder and filters as well as the entered email address.

The password reset only works via an email address associated with your customer account. If you no longer have access to this address, the normal recovery process cannot be completed.

You can find further steps in our guide Forgot password: Restore access to the CURIAWEB customer center.

9. Confirmation email for your email address is missing #

After registering or changing an email address, verification of the address may be required. You will receive a verification link by email. WHMCS uses such verification messages to confirm that the provided address is actually reachable and belongs to the user.

If this message has not arrived, check your spam and junk folders first. If the original verification link has already expired, a new verification email can be requested.

10. Own domain as customer center address: Note special feature #

Do you use, for example info@deine-domain.ch as the email address for your CURIAWEB customer account and at the same time this exact domain or the associated hosting is affected by a technical outage, this can result in a practical problem.

If your email inbox is unreachable, you may not receive CURIAWEB notifications regarding this exact disruption either.

For particularly important customer accounts, it can therefore make sense to use an email address whose availability does not depend entirely on the same hosting product. This applies in particular to administrators and companies that rely on a contact address being reachable at all times.

Recommendation: The e-mail address registered for your CURIAWEB customer account should be permanently accessible. Check it regularly and make sure that you have access to it even in the event of technical problems.

What to do if CURIAWEB emails still do not arrive? #

If you have checked your spam folder, email address, storage space, and filters and are still not receiving any messages from CURIAWEB, please contact our support.

Please name as many of these as possible:

  • your customer number or the affected customer account
  • the email address to which the message was expected
  • which message is missing, for example an invoice or support response
  • approximate date and time
  • whether other emails to this mailbox arrive normally

This allows us to check more specifically whether the message in question was sent by our system and if there are any indications of a delivery issue. WHMCS generally logs many messages sent to customers, so the sending of certain emails can be traced. However, certain security-relevant messages such as password reset and verification emails are intentionally not listed in this standard customer email history.

Good to know: A missing email does not automatically mean that an invoice, support ticket, or other process does not exist. You can check a lot of important information directly in the CURIAWEB customer center at any time.

How to avoid future delivery issues #

With a few simple measures, you can reduce the risk of missing important CURIAWEB messages:

  • Keep your customer service email address up to date.
  • Add CURIAWEB to your trusted senders.
  • Check spam and junk folders regularly.
  • Check your own email filters and forwarding rules.
  • Make sure there is enough storage space in your mailbox.
  • Activate a reliable spam filter configuration for important business mailboxes.
