When are hosting, domains, and services renewed?

Reading time approx.: 5 minutes

Hosting packages, domains and other services at CURIAWEB have a next due date. This date shows you when a product is next due for renewal or billing.

You can find the relevant information directly in the CURIAWEB customer center. Especially if you manage multiple hosting packages, domains, or additional services, it is worth taking a regular look at upcoming due dates and open invoices.

Briefly explained: The field „Next due date“ shows you when your product is up for renewal or billing next. The corresponding invoice is usually generated before this date.

Where do you find the next due date? #

You can check the maturity of your products directly in the CURIAWEB customer center.

For hosting and other services:

  1. Log in to CURIAWEB Customer Center a.
  2. Open Services.
  3. Choose My Services.
  4. In the overview, you can see your active products.
  5. Check the displayed field for the desired product „Next due date“.

You can find additional information by opening the respective service. The dashboard can also give you an overview of your active services and upcoming processes.

When will the invoice for the renewal be generated? #

CURIAWEB usually generates the invoice for an upcoming service approximately 14 days before the next due date. At the same time, you will receive a corresponding notification at the email address registered in your customer account.

This leaves enough time to check the invoice and make the payment before the next due date.

Important: Make sure the email address for your CURIAWEB customer account is up to date and accessible. Otherwise, invoices and important notifications may be missed.

If your stored address is no longer up to date, you can find the procedure under Change email address in the CURIAWEB customer center.

Due date and invoice date are not the same #

The Service due date and this Invoice date you should distinguish from each other.

  • Next due date: Date when your product is next up for renewal or billing.
  • Invoicing: The invoice is issued even before the due date.
  • Payment: The invoice should be paid within the payment period specified thereon.

For example, if a service displays a future due date, that does not necessarily mean you will not receive an invoice until that day.

Where can you check your invoices? #

You can also find your invoices in the CURIAWEB customer center. There you can check which invoices have already been paid and which are still open.

This overview is particularly helpful when dealing with multiple products, as an invoice can be assigned to a specific hosting package, a domain, or another service.

Tip: Check your open invoices and upcoming due dates briefly before longer absences or holidays. This prevents an important renewal from being overlooked while you are away.

Pay invoices automatically with credit #

If you don't want to pay every invoice individually, you can add credit to your CURIAWEB customer account in advance.

If there is sufficient credit available when generating the invoice, it can be used automatically to settle the invoice. This can be particularly practical if you manage multiple products or want to ensure that invoices are covered during a longer absence.

We explain how this works at Add credit and pay bills automatically.

With domains, renewal is particularly important #

When it comes to domains, you should keep a particularly close eye on expiration dates. A domain can be connected to your website, your email addresses, an online store, or other services.

If an important domain expires, several services can be affected at the same time. For actively used domains, it is recommended to keep automatic renewal enabled.

We explain how to control or change this setting at Enable or disable automatic domain renewal.

Important: Do not prematurely deactivate the automatic renewal of a domain. Check beforehand whether the domain is still used for a website, email, redirects, DNS records, or external services.

Can a domain be renewed for multiple years? #

Depending on the domain extension, different registration and renewal periods may apply. If you want to renew an important domain for a longer period, you can contact CURIAWEB support.

We can check which renewal options are available for the domain extension in question.

What happens when you no longer need a service? #

If you no longer wish to continue a hosting package or another service, you should not simply leave an invoice ignored. Instead, apply for the cancellation of the product in question via the customer center.

This clearly documents which service is to be terminated and at what time the cancellation is to take effect.

You can find the individual steps under Cancel hosting package or service in the customer center.

Attention: Canceling a hosting package does not automatically cancel a domain used with it. Hosting and domains are separate services and must therefore be managed separately.

What to do when an invoice is already overdue? #

If you notice that an invoice is already overdue, you should not ignore it. Open the invoice in the customer center and check the current status and available payment options.

If you have already paid the invoice, but the payment is not yet displayed, processing can take some time depending on the payment method used.

If you cannot verify whether a payment has been received or which service is affected by an open invoice, open a support ticket and provide the relevant invoice number if possible.

Keep track of due dates for multiple products #

If you manage multiple domains or hosting packages with CURIAWEB, these can have different due dates. Therefore, there is not necessarily a single renewal date for your entire customer account.

If necessary, check the individual products in the customer center and also check your open invoices. This will show you which services will be renewed soon and which payments are already due.

Note: What matters is the field shown for the respective product. „Next due date“. For multiple products, correspondingly different dates can be displayed.

If there are any uncertainties regarding the due date #

If you are not sure when a specific product will be renewed or which invoice belongs to which service, you can open a support ticket.

Please mention the relevant product name, domain, or invoice number if possible. This allows your request to be assigned to the correct service more quickly.

You can find how to create a support request at Create a support ticket in the CURIAWEB customer center.
