If you your password for the CURIAWEB Customer Center you have forgotten, you can access it via the function „Forgot password?“ recover yourself. For this, you need access to the email address associated with your customer account.
The customer center is the central area for your products, domains, invoices, support requests, and contact details. The password reset is therefore carried out via a confirmation link sent to the registered email address.
Briefly explained: With these instructions, you are only resetting the password for your CURIAWEB customer center. Passwords for cPanel, FTP, or individual email accounts are not changed by this.
When should you use the password reset? #
The function „Forgot password?“ makes sense if you can no longer log in to the CURIAWEB customer center because you forgot your password or your previous password no longer works.
For the reset, you need the email address associated with your customer account. If you use multiple email addresses, make sure to enter the correct one.
How to reset your customer center password #
Step-by-step:
- Open the login page of CURIAWEB Customer Centers.
- Click on „Forgot password?“.
- Enter the email address registered to your CURIAWEB customer account.
- Send the request.
- Open your email inbox.
- Look for the message to reset your password.
- Open the confirmation link contained within it.
- Set a new password.
- Log in to the Customer Center afterwards using your email address and the new password.
The confirmation link ensures that only a person with access to the registered email address can perform the password reset.
What to do if the reset email does not arrive? #
If you do not receive an email after submitting the request, you should not immediately send multiple new reset requests. First, check your inbox carefully.
Check in particular:
- the spam or junk folder
- the recycle bin
- automatically created filters or subfolders
- whether your mailbox can still receive emails
- whether you used the correct email address
Depending on the email provider, the delivery of an automatic message may also be somewhat delayed.
Important: For the password reset, use the email address that is actually registered to your CURIAWEB customer account. A reset message will not simply be sent to any other address.
The reset link is only valid for a limited time #
For security reasons, the link in the password reset email is not valid indefinitely. If you open the link much later and it no longer works, start the password reset process again via the login page.
If you have triggered multiple reset requests in succession, use the most recent message received, if possible.
Safety: Do not share a password reset link with anyone else. Anyone who is able to use a valid reset link could attempt to set a new password for your customer account.
Choose a strong new password #
Use a long and unique password for your CURIAWEB customer center. Do not use this password simultaneously for other websites, email accounts, or services.
A good password should:
- be sufficiently long,
- not be based on your name, your company, or your domain,
- not already be used for other accounts,
- preferably generated and stored with a password manager.
A password manager makes it easier to use long and random passwords without having to memorize them.
Enable two-factor authentication after logging in #
After you have access to your customer account again, you should check whether two-factor authentication is already enabled.
With 2FA, your password alone is no longer enough for login. Additionally, a time-limited security code is required.
We explain the setup in the manual Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) in the customer portal.
No longer have access to the registered email address? #
If you also no longer have access to the email address registered to your customer account, you cannot complete the normal password reset yourself.
In this case, it must first be clarified whether you are authorized to access the customer account in question. For security reasons, an additional verification may be required for this.
In this case, contact CURIAWEB Support. We explain how to create a request at Create a support ticket in the CURIAWEB customer center.
Important: Do not send copies of ID cards, passwords, or other particularly sensitive information unsolicited in a support ticket. Wait to see which information is actually needed for the review.
Customer center password and cPanel password are separate #
The password for your CURIAWEB customer center is not the same as the password for your main cPanel account.
FTP and email accounts can also have their own login credentials. A successful password reset for the customer center does not change these technical passwords.
If you want to change your cPanel password, you can find the relevant instructions at Change cPanel password in the CURIAWEB customer center.
Check your contact details after successful login #
When you have access to your customer center again, you should check whether the stored e-mail address is still up to date and that you have permanent access to it.
This address is relevant for password resets and important notifications regarding your customer account, among other things. An outdated or no longer accessible email address can cause unnecessary problems during subsequent account recovery.
Therefore, also protect the email address associated with your CURIAWEB customer account with a strong password and—if the email provider supports it—also with additional two-factor authentication.
What to do if the new login still doesn't work? #
If you have successfully reset your password but still cannot log in, check first:
- whether you are using the correct email address,
- whether you actually enter the newly set password,
- whether spaces were accidentally copied along with it,
- whether your browser automatically fills in old login credentials,
- whether you can test the login in a private browser window if necessary.
If the access still does not work, contact CURIAWEB Support and describe as precisely as possible which message is displayed during login.
